Clean Room

6 stages of designing

(1)Designing of the flow line · layout

  • This study is the first condition regardless food, pharmaceutical products and semiconductors, and the most important condition of planning in consideration of productivity and efficient placement of the line.
  • Organize information to take Building Standards Act regardless of the new construction and renovation, firefighting response and health center response into design condition at this point.
  • Solvent dangerous goods solution, position zoning, and cleaning chemical solution for the room are taken into consideration at the same time.
  • Working environment in the factory, neighborhood environment, and social environment response are al so taken into consideration.
  • Zoning a clean room, pre-cleanroom, radiant heat, sensible heat, latent heat and a foreign substances occurrence area

(2)Understanding of design conditions.(air condition · equipment · heat source)

  • To make decision of priority for the insect · dust proof cleanliness and zones.
  • To make decision of identifying load for the generating source of heat, moisture and chemical: consideration of temperature and humidity conditions: and decision of year-round conditions
  • To make decision of cleanliness · condition of cleanness classes in each zone.
  • Understanding actual situations of the installed equipment in each zone, contamination sources, number of personnel, operating time, production process, production machine specification and operating conditions, and purposes to use the clean room.
  • Understanding of the outside air conditions in each region

(3)Study of the air conditioning system

  • Study of heat source equipment, heat exchange equipment, air flow
  • Integration study of all-fresh system (all fresh air), circulating system, OA intake system and EA processing system
  • Zone study of convection system, positive pressure, medium pressure and negative pressure
  • Study of heating, humidification, cooling and dehumidification systems
  • Study of OA amount, circulation amount, EA amount and processing method to meet designing condition
  • Study of special conditions for the powder processing and chemical solution
  • Study of the foreign substance removal · dust removal methods occurring in the clean room
  • Understanding of the currently installed supply exhaust equipment of air conditioner, if there is or not, and study of its effective use
  • Study of the safety, efficiency, energy conservation, emergency response, durability and protection circuit
  • Study of the instrumentation and control and hardware and software conditions

(4)Study of the utility and specifications

  • Study of OA processing, pre-filter, mid-performance, HEPA, ULPA, heat-resisting, SUS frame, separator specification
  • Study of thermal insulation properties, non-thermal insulation properties, SUS ~ fluorine steel plate, non-combustible, fireproof and a standard specification for a booth
  • Study of ducts, refrigerant, cold water, steam, water supply, drainage, and route · supply of power supply
  • Use a booth ceiling space as a utility zone.
  • Study of R structure floor - easy to wash and hard for the dust to retain.
  • Coated floor specification corresponding sanitary room, air shower, sheet shutter, dock shelter, medicine, oil, and warm water
  • Study of the fitting specification in each room, measurement, open and close method, interlock, FIX-windows and specifications
  • Study of AS and sheet shutter specifications
  • About equipment for the clean rooms and sanitary units, we study clean room classifications and specifications which fits to conditions of use.

(5)Study of management and maintenance

  • Maintenance is the maximum function to keep and re-produce the quality of the clean room and we study the method of the maintenance and maintenance space and plan the optimal maintenance program to fit the operation.
  • Study of the basic plan of the hardware (regular inspection) and software maintenance (daily inspections)
  • Study of management methods such as centralized management, monitoring management, and manual management
  • Study of anticipating responses and process measures in emergency and sudden situations
  • Realization of the low initial cost based on the design to achieve maximum effect as a prerequisite of the purpose and quality
  • Realization of the running cost with low environmental impact to take efficient use of gas, electric power and steam in to the plan.

(6)Matching of the entire plant and the environment

  • By considering a line with a clean room function is not one single unit but a part of function in the entire plant, we study the relevance between other line and equipment and overall energy use.
  • Understanding and study of effective utilization means of the supply and exhaust air of clean room and the existing other line, power consumption, demand, steam, water supply and drainage, exhaust heat, and cold water
  • Investigation of problems in terms of environmental policy, and study of anticipating efficient operation from environmental and running aspects
  • Study of secondary proposed elements of the increase of the environmental impact (CO2, exhaust heat, and gas) after installing equipment with the clean room placement, and greenhouse effect gas from exhaust air of production machines and VOC before removal
